Post Staff

Post Middle School is being honored by the Washington School Recognition Program for its performance during the 2024-25 school year. Post was recognized for closing gaps for English learner progress and growth for students in one or more racial or ethnic groups. Post is one of only 16% of schools statewide who received recognition this year.

“I am so proud of the Post staff who have worked hard over the past few years to identify and remove barriers to learning for all students and continue to creatively find ways to support the wide range and diverse needs before us,” said Post Middle School Principal Leslie Bonfield. “The work never ends and we are excited for this recognition of our work.”

“It’s appropriate that Post receives this recognition during Certificated Staff Appreciation Week,” said Arlington Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Chrys Sweeting. “The hard work of Post teachers and other staff is evident with the strides that students are making in the classroom. Congratulations to all Post students and staff!”

The Washington School Recognition Program is operated by the State Board of Education in collaboration with the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction and the Educational Opportunity Gap Oversight and Accountability Committee. The program highlights schools that demonstrate exceptional progress in key areas of student success.
